About
PlanetaryPulse is a daily briefing on how the moon and the sky affect people and animals on Earth. The science comes first, graded by the strength of the evidence. Traditional astrology follows, clearly marked as tradition.
Evidence grades
- StrongReplicated in several studies, or a matter of physics.
- MixedReal studies that point in different directions.
- WeakOne small or uncontrolled study. Unconfirmed.
- MythTested, and not supported by the evidence.
How it works
Moon phase, distance, signs, eclipses, sunrise and moonrise are calculated on your device with Astronomy Engine, so every day past and future works offline. Findings appear when they apply: a coral spawning note after the spring full moons on the reef, a clock-change note in the weeks around the switch. Each one links to its sources.
